剧情分为两个部分：一边是一个神秘的女人，即将步入结婚礼堂；一边是一个有轻度自杀倾向的音乐工作者，被阴错阳差地关进了精神病医院……电影交错展现了两个主人公生活中的片断，似乎毫无关联的故事和人物，可又时时联系到一起。一个沉浸在痛苦的回忆中的女人和一个纷扰不断的男人。在影片中，那个独立成功的女人将慢慢走向封闭，而 “被囚禁”的男人却不知不觉地走向了自身的解放。。Jimmy is the only man who, after his divorce, still has to deal with his disapproving, meddling mother-in-law. When his ex-wife volunteers to go to east Africa to help the victims of a natural disaster, weekend-dad Jimmy agrees to take care of their two teenage kids full time in an attempt to win her back!。
