本片根據明朝俞淨意公同鄉羅禎先生所著《俞淨意公遇灶神記》改編。故事的主人公，姓俞名都字良臣，是個窮苦潦倒的讀書人，因為命運舛惡，科考屢試不中，年復一年他不但事與願違，甚至遭到一連串家破人亡的悲痛歷程。同時也講述了俞先生，斷惡修善，改過自新，重新做人的經歷。俞先生一生自認為行持修養相當不錯，每每向灶神爺禱告卻依舊貧困潦倒。到底是什麼原因呢？原來俞先生意惡很重，他所要遭受的懲罰遠大于嘉賞。所以向人們展示了一個道理：當一個不善的念頭生起來的時候，這種罪過已被記下，哪裡還要等你去犯呢？所以人們在平時修持時，一定要注意看護自己的念頭。 尤惜陰居士曾說，《了凡四訓》是奉行《感應篇》與功過格的事實。了凡先生所用的功過格，我們在《德育古鑑》裡刊出來了。《德育古鑑》就是一部功過格的感應錄，完全是依功過格而編的，不但教我們修行，且加強我們的信心。《俞淨意公遇灶神記》，這...。This hour-long young adult series featured the characters from the popular children's books, "The Hardy Boys" and "Nancy Drew," in a weekly mystery. The team of Frank and Joe Hardy alternated with Nancy Drew every other week, with independent storylines.
