少林寺众僧立志反清复明，至善禅师(姜大卫)前往峨嵋山取得炼钢之法和铸造各种兵器、暗器的图样之后，匆匆赶回少林，却遇上清兵火烧少林寺，寺中众僧大部份血战而死。至善前往南方，肩负起重建少林寺的重任，一面化缘募捐，一面结识江湖豪杰，并收录李锦纶(徐少强)、童千斤(吴杭生)等热血青年为弟子……。一个由四人组成的团队从总部派往维修一个通讯站，突然在一座山的山峰上遭遇了恐怖袭击。两个被征召的土耳其士兵，一个受过教育，富有的年轻人，另一个粗鲁的街头聪明的恶棍，不得不抛开他们的分歧，学会相互信任，以度过一个无情的局面。。In 1820, Jonathan Pride (Collins), a chance teacher from Boston, decides to book passage on a ship to go visit his relatives.
